Wow! I am wondering how At all it has Any ratings! I don’t mind slumming it, but these pictures ARE NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE at all!!!!! I have never ever First, the driver warns me this is a bad neighborhood as we pull up. I have solo traveled many times, not bothered by much, but I can clarify this is a really awful area. I was actually worried about even leaving the hotel to buy water. Then I go in and these two dirty men are watching tv, don’t acknowledge me, don’t help me check in. After they finally did, as we walked the stairs to my room, I start to realize this isn’t the place from the photos. There was men laying on the floor in blankets, broken furniture all in the hall says, covered in dust and dirt. Then my room. Oh my god. I wish I had taken photos. It was so dirty, there was dust all over the headboard, the towel and sheets were stained, the toilet didn’t flush even slightly, there is no hot water, the room was so dirty that I had to put a t shirt over the pillow. I was waiting for my boyfriend to turn up from his later flight at one am and told the ‘reception guy’ to expect him. The WiFi wasn’t working so at one thirty, worried, I went downstairs to see and the front door was padlocked shut with the two men laying on the floor. One man woke up and started shouting at me ‘go back to your room!!! No husband!!’ It was so aggressive, I had no way to contact my boyfriend and I was genuinely scared of these horrible men that I got back to my room and cried. By the time my boyfriend turned up, I was literally traumatized by this gross place. And I’ve lived in Asia for three years so it takes a lot to phase me. Then a man came up the next day and started begging us for tips, it was such an awful place. People who have wrote anything but good on here, I am wondering where you stayed?????

The area around the hotel has many budget type hotels and its a struggle to find a good one. Hotel Maanvi is one of the better hotels for the price of the room. It has adequate facilities for what you pay. There is a variety of very good street food to eat if you don't want to eat in the hotel. So for the money and what you get - I'd stay again.

I was forced to stay there due the pricing, otherwise staying there is not a good idea. As I know the area I had no problem to locate the hotel. Lots of low class people stay there which make the property messy.Room was small and not maintained.
